Our beloved wood-fired oven needs a repair

Every few years, we need to let the oven cool down for long enough to do spot repairs to the masonry. It takes 24 hours before and after the repair, first to cool properly, then to gently re-heat and set the refractory cement. Alas, would never let something like that stop us from feeding the people!

Introducing il Gallo Nero - a celebration of the Tuscan grilling tradition. Pollo al Mattone (chicken under a brick), stuffed branzini, and cuts of dry-aged beef grilled to perfection over coals on our vesta grill outside. Each protein is paired with a delicious vegetable side. We’ll also be grilling our Hitchcock Bakeshop sourdough for a trio of bruschette that will fend off the pizza cravings … for a few days at least.

Of course we’ll have all of our favorite antipasti on offer - polpettine, prosciutto e melone, hearty salads and a few fun surprises.

Bruciato will be closed on Monday, 9/8 for preparations. Il Gallo Nero pops up 9/9-9/11 from 3-9. Bruciato will resume service on Friday, 9/12 for lunch service.
